The Yorkshire arts community has remained silent on this issue and one (former) friend described the gang rape of 1400 children in the town as "a right-wing dog whistle". The actual number of victims was probably nearer 2,000 in Rotherham alone, with the situation replicated to a degree in at least 50 British towns. (Everywhere they've looked, actually.) I'm so glad you've made some art about this.
